Hang out, chat about life, etc etc ad infinitum

L'Vana is a southwestern kingdom, ruled primarily by humans, and well-known for its scholars. Though the royal family is open-minded and seeks peace with the shifters, a vocal minority of the population is extremely prejudiced against the shifters. L'Vana enjoys a temperate climate, with warm summers and mild winters.

Nyowari is a kingdom ruled primarily by shifters. It is south of L'Vana and has a relatively warm, dry climate. The shifters have highly varying attitudes toward humans, though the kingdom as a whole maintains peaceable relations with its L'Vanan neighbors.

Stalae is a northern country under a militaristic rule. It is ruled only by humans, and the populace generally despises shifters, hunting them out and killing them when they are found within their borders. The country is recovering from a recent civil war, so the people are largely downtrodden and hungry to rise again.

Aluar is a kingdom to the far west. It remained in isolation from the rest of the world for years, due to the desert and mountain range that separated it from most other countries. Shifters and humans live here in equal measure, creating an exciting, modern, east-meets-west vibe as traders and performers scramble to fill the newly-rediscovered country. However, laws are only loosely enforced, due to a largely lax ruling order.

Barzan is a small island south of Nyowari. It is a noisy place, loosely ruled by a handful of particularly outgoing leaders. They actively hate humans, and like pirates, will occasionally attack human shipping vessels or make raids on L'Vanan port towns.
